Why normal productivity apps fail

They're built for brains that already find starting easy.

30 tasks, zero clarity

A long list asks your brain to decide, prioritize and start — all at once. That's exactly the part that's hard.

Planning feels like progress

Color-coding a system is fun. Doing the first boring step isn't. Most apps reward the wrong thing.

Time is invisible

“It'll take 10 minutes” — two hours later. Clocks and due dates don't show how time actually feels.

One bad day breaks everything

Red overdue badges and broken streaks turn a missed task into a guilt spiral — so you stop opening the app.

How the system works

One question, answered all day: what should I do right now?

Everything in Doable is built around one fast loop. No planning marathons required.

  1. 01

    Open the app

See one important task — not thirty.

  2. 02

    See the next action

A physical first step, not a vague goal.

  3. 03

    Press START

Focus Mode begins. Or just 5 minutes.

  4. 04

    Stuck? Press it.

Get a smaller, concrete next step.

  5. 05

    Finish

Progress is recorded. XP, no guilt.

  6. 06

    Next task

    The loop recommends what's next.

AI task breakdown

Big, vague tasks become small, obvious steps.

Type “Finish computer science assignment” and get concrete 5–15 minute steps you can edit, reorder, or reject. Too much? Make them tinier.

  • Step 1 is always a tiny physical action
  • Numbered work (problems 42–45) becomes one step per item
  • You approve every step — nothing is added without you

Focus Mode

Just the task and a timer you can see.

A distraction-free screen with a visual time disc that shrinks as time passes, your current step, and four buttons: Pause, Finish, I'm Stuck, Break.

  • The timer lives in your tab title too
  • Park stray thoughts without leaving focus
  • Pro: brown noise, pink noise and rain — generated, no downloads

The 5-minute starter

You don't have to finish. Just start.

When starting feels impossible, commit to five minutes. When the timer ends: keep going, take a break, or mark it done. Starting is the win.

  • One tap from the dashboard, any task
  • Extra XP for starting — because that's the hard part
  • Stuck mid-way? “I'm stuck” turns confusion into a next step

Why are you stuck?

Try this

Open the assignment and read question 1 — that's the whole first move.

Smart planning

A realistic day — with room to breathe.

Answer four quick questions: what must happen, what would be nice, how much time you have, and how your energy is. You get a plan that never fills every minute.

  • Only 55–70% of your time becomes focus — the rest is breaks and buffer
  • Low energy? Easy wins come first
  • Missed something? “Let's adjust the plan” — reschedule in one tap

Time blindness tools & statistics

See time. Learn your patterns. Skip the guilt.

Every task shows estimated, spent and remaining time as a bar. Statistics reveal your best hours, how accurate your estimates are, and what keeps slipping — as information, not grades.

  • Day timeline shows how much day is genuinely left
  • Forgiving streaks: one missed day never breaks it
  • XP and levels that reward consistency, not perfection

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Doable a medical or therapy app?

No. Doable is a productivity tool built around how many people with ADHD experience tasks — starting, time, focus and recovery. It doesn't diagnose, treat or replace professional care, and the AI assistant is a productivity assistant, not a therapist.

Do I need a card for the 7-day Pro trial?

No. You can start the trial with one click, no card needed. If you don't add a payment method, it simply ends after 7 days and you keep the Free plan. No surprise charges.

Is the Free plan actually useful?

Yes — unlimited tasks, Focus Mode, the 5-minute starter, basic daily planning, “I'm stuck” strategies, statistics and reminders are all free. Free includes 10 AI actions and 5 AI task breakdowns each month; Pro removes those limits.

What counts as an AI action?

A chat message to the assistant, an AI “I'm stuck” suggestion, an AI recommendation, or generating insights. Task breakdowns have their own monthly allowance. Quick capture (“Math homework tomorrow”) and the basic planner never use AI actions.

How does yearly billing work?

Pro is $7.99/month, or $59.99 paid once a year (about $5/month — you save 37%). Pro+ is $14.99/month or $119.99/year (about $10/month). Yearly plans are paid upfront.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, in two clicks from Settings. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the billing period, then move to Free. Your tasks and history stay.

What happens to my data?

Your tasks are yours. Passwords are hashed, payments are handled by Stripe (we never see your card), and you can permanently delete your account from Settings at any time.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Doable is a responsive web app — it works on phones, tablets and desktops, with a bottom navigation bar on mobile.
